Application Guide:

Standing up

  • Fold slip in half.
  • Pull slip once, while in half, this will activate the faecal cuffs.
  • Leave slip folded in half.

  • Pull slip from front to back between the legs.
  • Ensure the end of the slip is at the level of the patient’s waistline.

  • Steady back part of the slip with your hip against the patient.
  • Fan out front of slip to create a channel between the legs.

  • Fix bottom tapes on both sides for a snug, comfortable fit.

  • Ensure non-woven wings are flat against the skin.

  • Fix top tapes angled downwards over the front of the slip.

  • Ease elasticated leg gathers into the groin area.

  • Fold slip in half.

  • Leave slip folded in half.

  • Position the patient onto their side.
  • Pass front of slip between the legs, making sure that both front and back of the slip is equal against the patient.

  • Open side panel of slip against the patient’s buttock.
  • Ensure that the wetness indicator is positioned on the crease of the buttocks.
  • Push the other half of the slip gently under the patient’s other buttock cheek, making sure that the wetness indicator remains in position.

  • Open side panel of slip against the patient’s buttock.
  • Move towards the patient’s shoulders and pull the slip up tightly against the patient’s skin, ensuring that the faecal cuffs are positioned on either side of the genital area. If the patient is male, point the penis down. • Tape the bottom tapes first, at a slight angle, so that you get a “cross” over the leg, this will ensure that there is no leakage from the legs. leakage from the legs. • Next, tape up the top tapes, straight across the abdomen.

  • The slip is now completely on.

  • Fold slip in half with non-woven backsheet facing outwards.
  • Do not touch the inside of the slip.

  • Pull the slip from the front to the back between the legs.

  • Fan the slip out at the front.

  • Fan out the back of the slip and make sure that it fits snugly in the groin area with the three elastic leg cuffs.

  • Fix bottom tapes on both sides.
  • It may be helpful to angle the tapes slightly upwards to improve the fit around the legs.

  • Ensure non-woven wings are flat against the skin.

  • Fix top tapes angled downwards over the front of the slip.
  • Ease elastic leg gathers into the groin area
